Spring!

The beautiful weather this weekend meant that we spent most of it outside, playing and working in the backyard that we (us, friends, family) created together last summer. So, so lovely after six months of being cooped up in our crazy messy house! Toys that had been buried under a white coat of winter were unearthed and reunited with their joyful boy. Yellow green lawn, a thousand footsteps painting desire lines that connect house and street. Broken eggshells, a squash forgotten in the pantry, tiny mice find a home in the rich compost heap. Sand between fingers, in mouths, a light dusting on the kitchen floor. Spring.
