Narcissus Reborn

Well, if this picture doesn't sum up the toddler psyche, I'm not sure what would. At two and a half, he's a veritable Jekkyl and Hyde - so absolutely charming, loving and endearing one day, petulant, demanding and whiny the next. The wild pendulum this boy swings on challenges me to hold him lightly in my heart and mind... but oh, how I'd love to squeeze him, to think I know him, to grab him and hold on tightly forever. Slippery boy, I love you.
